Equinix SG1

Building Info: 9 storey reinforced concrete structure offering 109,209 square feet of colocation space.

DC Description: Equinix’s IBX SG1 data center is located at 20 Ayer Rajah Crescent, which is strategically situated at One-North’s Central Xchange, adjacent to the Technopolis. The One-North development is a key project under Singapore’s Technopreneur 21 initiative for the successful development of a technopreneur community in Singapore.

UPS Systems Generator: Provides a N+1 redundancy to maximize uptime availability. Infrastructure includes uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems to prevent power spikes, surges and brownouts, and redundant backup diesel generators provide additional runtime. Using proprietary automated telemetric systems, IBX engineering team can monitor all power system components on-site or remotely, to respond quickly to any situation.

Security: All doors, including cages, secured with biometric hand geometry readers, kinetic and key locks on closed cabinets, and CCTV digital camera coverage of the entire center, including cages.

Emergency Protection: Fully addressable fire detection system in all areas, aspirated early warning smoke detection system (monitored 24x7x365). Dry pipe pre-action sprinkler system.

Building Info: 26,743 m2 of gross space & 7 data floors.

DC Description: Scalable IT space, purpose built, exceeds tier 3 operational performance.

UPS Systems: Utility power supply capacity of 25MVA (current and planned). Technical (IT) power supplied by on-site 2N static UPS in the main building and by diesel rotary UPS with N+1 redundancy in the extension wing.

Generators: 22kV utility supply with N+N redundancy. Mechanical systems supported by diesel backup generator system in the main building with N+1 redundancy.

Security: Operations centre & security guard patrols manned 24x7x365. Continuous CCTV surveillance of external and internal areas, CCTV records kept for 31 days, with comprehensive intruder detection and alarms systems in all areas.

Tokyo – Equinix TY2

Building Info: 58,992 square feet of space.

DC Description: Equinix TY2 Shinagawa Data Center is located at Higashi-Shinagawa, Shinagawa City, Tokyo, Japan. There is a total of 22301 square feet in raised floor space for colocation. It has access to 6.75 MW of power.

DC Description: Colt Tokyo Shiohama Data Centre is located in Koto-ku, Tokyo and was designed specifically to serve the mission critical needs of the financial industry.

UPS Systems Generator: Is capable of providing true 2 (N+1) power redundancy with dual power feeds traversing through completely separate infrastructure to reach the rack.

Security: Operational and security procedures comply with recognised international standards, including ISMS/ISO27001, SSAE16 Type II certifications and FISC guidelines.

Emergency Protection: Protected by an inert gas-based fire suppression system with fire hydrants and extinguishers installed in all areas incorporating VESDA early warning system. High-sensitivity smoke detectors, 24/7 on site security staff with multi-layer physical security with biometric authentication system.

Taipei – CHIEF Telecom

Building Info: Complete separation of electricity and telecom wiring ducts. High quality copper busway class F design. Ground resistance < 0.5 Ω.

DC Description: On par with Tier 3, 20A plug-in switch of every circuit, uninterrupted upgrade.

UPS Systems: Redundant Utility Power System (N+1).

Generators: 1500KW, N+1 24-hr continuous operation generator, Dual loop & N+1 uninterruptible power supply system (600KVA), Backup diesel generators.

UPS Systems: Duplicated UPS power via STS, Average 3.3 ~ 4.4 kW/Rack.

Generators: Dualized, N+1 system with diesel generator, N+2 distribute UPS and dualization of storage battery system.

Security: Zoom and Tilt CCTV, Speed Gate, RF-card in elevator between floors, Bio-scan and RF-card at computer room entrances.

Emergency Protection: 24/7 control room and status monitor, Integrated management of every IDC system (monitor & controls network, power, constant temperature and humidity, fire-fighting, security system, etc.), SOP for Error prevention.

Seoul – KINX

DC Description: It is operated using L2-based IX (Internet eXchange) carrier. KINX IDCs provides services through broadband directly connected to major ISPs at home and abroad. It is equipped with optimized network environment as well as buildings, infrastructure, power, cooling & heating system, and security facilities.

UPS Systems & Generator: Data center has power substation – extra high-tension large-scale system to secure ideal electric power supply. UPS N+1 composition, stable power supply and design of 30-min BATT Back Up Time (full load). And emergency power supply system – supplying power within 8~12 seconds upon blackout; securing fuel enough to run emergency operation for over 12 hours.

Security:  Provide 24/7 surveillance & residence, strict identity management through personal ID and fingerprint verification system. Quick response to various failures by introducing NMS & What’s Up system and center access control, support for members’ works, provision of members’ traffic analysis data.

Emergency Protection: The data center has maintaining optimal levels of temperature and humidity (23± 2 ℃, 30 ~ 60%). Automatic alarming by leakage detection cable. Optimizing HVAC system by installing raised access floors: power tray in the lower floor and communication tray in the upper floor. Cooling through a temp-regulator and mixing the air during the winter. Automatic fire detection system & emergency alarm system.

Building Info: This 30-storey, 350,000 gross square feet data center is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and a genuine resilient global network, which can be tailor-made to suit customers’ different power and deployment specifications.

DC Description: MEGA-i is one of the largest Internet Service centre buildings in the world offering flexible colocation options ranging from open farm, private suite to customized areas since 2000. The datacentre is now serving customers from small-to-medium enterprises, large enterprises to multinational corporations as well as global telecommunication carriers, web and I.T. service.

UPS System Generators: N+1/2N UPS configuration with 15 ins battery backup with dual power feeds/ UPS sources to rack.

Security: 24 hours surveillance CCTV with digital recording and entrance guard to control access.

Emergency Protection: Gas based FM-200/ Novec 1230/ Inergen suppression system with double interlock pre-action sprinkler.

iAdvantage Mega-i 2

Building: IT&T data center converted from Industrial building with a GFA of about 520,000 square feet.

DC Description: Mega-I 2 provides the best in class high-tier data center solutions to our targeted clients including China network carriers, financial institutions, cloud and IT service providers, system integrators and companies with global and mainland operations.

UPS System: N+1/ 2N UPS configuration with 15 mins battery backup providing dual power feeds of 220V/ single phase, 50Hz to racks. With multiple fuel tanks capacity of 85,0000 litres acting as diesel backup.

Security: Access control systems with trap doors with 24 hours surveillance CCTV with digital recording. Physical security guards to control access at all times.

Emergency Protection: Gas based FM-200/ Novec 1230/ Inergen suppression system with double interlock pre-action sprinkler and distance type water detection system.

San Jose – Equinix SV5

Building Info:  126,569 square feet of total space, including 63,948 square feet of colocation space, and flex space of 2,134 square feet. The floor load is designed for colocation area of 175 lbs. per square feet, electrical area of 250 lbs. per square feet, and office area of 100 lbs. per square feet.

DC Description:  This data center is a carrier neutral facility offering connectivity to multiple carriers and service providers. It has overhead proprietary cable tray system with multi-tier ladder rack.

UPS Systems: The facility has 21.6 kV of utility voltage. The immediate power failure is protected by UPS system in 5+1 blocked redundant topology for a total of 5 primary buses, and 1 redundant bus.

Generators:  The standby power is provided by 6 x 3,000 kW diesel generators in N+1 configuration.

Security:  The data center has multilevel security including CCTV & recorders, motion detection, and 24 x 7 security guards. All doors, including cages, are secured with biometric hand geometry readers, and closed cabinets with kinetic & key locks.

Emergency Protection:  Fully addressable fire detection system in all areas, aspirated early warning smoke detection system (monitored 24x7x365). double interlocked, dry pipe sprinkler system is installed in the data center for life safety.

Los Angeles – One Wilshere

Building Info:  149,000+ square feet of data center space.

DC Description:  Located in the downtown area, One Wilshere is one of the industry’s premier points of interconnection and the most recognizable LA data center. It is one of the most significant points of connectivity in Western United States as well as throughout the world.

UPS Systems Generators: The data center power failure is protected by N, N+1, and 2N configured Mitsubishi, Powerware and Eaton high-efficiency UPS systems and automatic transfer to diesel generator with N, N+1, 2N redundancy.

Security:  The facility is SSAE 16 Type II certified and provides the excellent security features through onsite officers, mantraps, and CCTV surveillance. The key card and biometric scanners are installed at multiple checkpoints guarding access to resources in the data center.

Emergency Protection: The data centers cooling and humidity is maintained through N+1 chillers, cooling towers, CRAHs, and chilled water pumps. The double interlock pre-action sprinkler system with VESDA fire suppression system is installed in the data center for life safety.

Amsterdam – Iron Mountain AMS1

Building: Single storey building with 140,000 square feet and 22.5 MegaWatt of capacity.

DC description: AMS-1 is located in the safe, convenient suburb of Haarlem, 22 km from downtown Amsterdam and 17 km from Amsterdam Int’l Airport. Strategic partnership with AMS-IX. Carrier neutral access to 50 on-sites providers.

UPS System: Powered by 100% renewable energy with PUE as low as 1.2 and metered power pricing to encourage responsible energy usage.

Security: 3 factor access controls with 24x7x365 on-site security officers and CCTV recording in a gated area with campus access. Includes man traps and tailgating prevention measures as added protection.

Emergency Protection: Tier III+ design for redundancy and reliability with resilient facility that withstands inclement weather and winds. Mitigated DR risk with outside 100 & 500 year floodplains.

Frankfurt – Equinix FR5

Building information: Total of 34336 square feet in raised floor space for colocation with 3.69MegaWatt of power.

DC description: Frankfurt FR5 IBX data center at Kleyerstrasse provides direct and settlement-free IP interconnection infrastructure in Germany for important banking, commerce, and telecommunications infrastructure.

UPS System: Provides a N+1 redundancy to maximize uptime availability. Infrastructure includes uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems to prevent power spikes, surges and brownouts, and redundant backup diesel generators provide additional runtime.

Security: 24/7 onsite security officer presence with card readers, biometric readers in common areas. CCTV surveillance with 90 day video retention and motion detection capable.

Emergency Protection: Fire suppression features multi-zone aspiration (FM-200 and Novec 1230).

Kuala Lumpur – Menara AIMS

Building Information: 18 storey building with 70,000 sq feet with 6.8 MegaWatt total power.

DC description: As the anchor site for the Malaysian Internet Exchange (MyIX), AIMS host all domestic- and over 80 percent of the foreign telecommunication carriers based in Malaysia, giving it a vast and rich ecosystem that truly enriches every single one of their loyal customers.

UPS System: True online double conversion static UPS with DRUIPS (3300kVA capacity) installed to protect data center against critical loads. External fuel tanks able to support EPG plant for 24 hours at full load.

Security: Bullet proof glass checkpoint with 24/7 security officer presence and 5 factor authentication to prevent unauthorised access to the facility. Biometric fingerprint ready and CCTV (retention up to 90 days) surveillance for added measures.

Emergency protection: Inert Gas IG-55 fire suppression system installed above and under the raised floor in data center areas. High Sensitivity Smoke Detection (HSSD) implemented above CRAC and operated independently from the fire alarm system.

Bangkok – CAT-IDC

Building Information: 14 storey building with 1,000 square metre with 2 sets of generator (2 x (3 x 1,900 kVa)).

Emergency protection: Very Early Warning Fire Detection and Water Mist Protection System (Marioff HI-FOG).

Ho Chi Minh – FPT-IDC

Building Information: 3,300 square metre with a floor loading of 1,000kg square metre and ceiling heights of 3.2 metre.

DC description: With 6 service providers, CAT Telecom’s CAT-IDC is ranked #1 in the Bangkok market. At a national level it is ranked #2 out of 25 co-location facilities.

UPS System: Powered by 2 x 1250 kVa capacity to prevent surge or brown out. The feed is supported by local utility power supply. Generator capacity 3 x 1250 kVa + 2 x 2500 kVa with fuel capacity of 10,000 litres (last up to 48 hours) for all critical systems.

Security: Professional security personnel on duty 24x7x365 with automatic barrier and entry access control. Biometric fingerprint readers on door locks, strategically placed cameras, motion detection and alarm system.

Emergency protection: FM200 gas suppression system with double interlock pre-action sprinkler system and VESDA system.
